We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that our  Department of Architecture, Universitas Pembangunan Jaya, is holding  the first International Seminar on Place Making and Identity (PlacId):  Rethinking Urban Approaches to Built Environment, on September 26-27,  2012. The event will take place at Titan Center, Bintaro Jaya Sektor  7, Tangerang.

We have invited distinguished speakers from International and National  Institutions to participate in this Seminar. To name a few, we are  pleased to have Dr Tim Bunnell, Dr. Lai Chee Kien and Dr. Johannes  Widodo from NUS and Dr Ismail Said from UTM as our main speakers. We  also have invited scholars from all national and international  institutions who have research interest and expertise from  interdisciplinary approaches to contribute in analyzing the concepts  of place making and identity, and their impact on the use of the  space. It  will also bring up a discussion about the role of users in  influencing the representations.
